Cognitive training using digital game technology can not stand alone. Our approach is to involve the whole person, and to work with activities that relate to interests, personal history, and skills. We have three target groups:
For public institutions such as nursing homes and rehabilitation centers, we target Senior Citizens aged 65+, as demonstrated by the now functioning Brain Lounge. We have found that the skills and competencies of the general nursing staff are also strengthened by learning to use computer technology in a new and entertaining way.
Our second target is the so called "Younger Elders" in the age range 50 - 70 years, who will be retiring from the workforce from now and over the next 15 years. This group is often more familiar with using information technology, and we have special solutions currently in development.
We are also employing and developing new cognitive training software solutions suitable for adults in the 18-65-year range with various kinds of handicaps .
